GGGP, thanks for posting the picture. I like the skirt (ex-skort) and the boots, but I also like the freckles!

    Thx, Mike.
Well if that doesn't prove my Scottish heritage I don't know what will.

Today, I decided to wear grey knee socks with a pair of lowtop Converse sneakers.

The important thing is the tartan skirt, and the red top with it. And of course the lady inside both!

@TurboKittie That's cute! Converse always works, I like 'em with the knee socks, too. Sporran purse, very cool!

Thanks GGGP. I have been looking for those old style athletic socks, white with the stripe or stripes at the top because I think they'd look great, but no luck on that search so far.

I adore the sporran purse too, but maybe because I know no one else will have one.

When dressed casually, my wife actually likes to wear kilt hose with her tartan skirts (all of which are well below the knee!). They help keep her legs warm!

She has several pair, but some are decidedly feminine. She has a couple of these with Fair Isle pattern.

House of Cheviot is also now making women's hose called "Lady Craill" with a very feminine open knit design.

Nice looking, Matt. I'll have to show those to my wife.

They are available in black, as you see pictured, and also green, purple, and bison colored. If she's interested, they should retail for under $40, just have her contact me at the museum about them.

    Thumbs up

Ugh, I didn't know I wanted hose or old skool knee socks until this thread.
