Kilt Reunion
When I was 25 (2001), I sold my entire collection of kilts, except my wedding kilt, to pay travel expenses for our honeymoon to London. I listed all of my kilts on eBay under the seller name American-Caledonia. What I'm wondering is what all of the kilts have been doing since I saw them last (just before taping their boxes shut and dropping them in the post). Here's a list of kilts and what I know about their new owners. If any of the buyers are XMTS members, drop me a line, with a picture if possible. Thanks!
- Gordon Highlanders ex-army kilts (2)... sent to a Gordons re-enactment group in Hong Kong.
- Black Watch ex-army kilt (1)... sent to a minister somewhere in the USA.
- Flower of Scotland (little boy's kilt)
- Davidson of Tulloch, ancient... sent to a kilted Lands-End-to-John'-O'-Groats hiker in the UK
- Stewart (heavy-weight limited edition kilt with grey background instead of red, some mothing)
- Denim Utilikilt
- Original khaki Utilikilt
- Wilson tank, modern
- Bruce tank (7 yd), modern
- Maclean hunting great kilt... sent to Atlanta
