I prepared for what turned out to be a windy, blustry and very rainy day. We never lost power and no trees or even large branches came down on our small property. In the afternoon when the remainder of the eye came over Central Massachusetts a friend and I went for a walk on our local mountain - Mount Wachusett. I was reminded that often we don't have to look far from our own homes to have amazing experiences. These photos don't do it justice but everywhere we looked we were enchanted and amazed at the beauty of nature.

We stuck to the road because of the possibility of problems for old men on the trails.

The views looking North were really fine.

At the summit it was socked in with fog or clouds but there the wind was most dramatic.

Water flowed freely on every slope.

I know some suffered a lot from this storm especially in Western Massachusetts and Vermont. I hope you all who experienced it are doing well and had some good experiences.
