I once got mistaken for the bartender while dressed in black. Let the fellow rant on until he ran out of steam, then pointed him in the direction of the bartender and told him to start over. Got me a free pint for my service.

I still have a desire for that all-black tartan. I'd wear that with just red flashes on black hose and a red toorie on a black glengarry. Maybe a red bow tie, who knows?

Black is a great evener. It makes us skinny little guys look filled out and makes the gentlemen of substance look slimmer.
