Hey all

Whoah......Mt St Helens!!
I was only 2 when it happened, so I don't remember it very well at all, but I sometimes hear those "where were you when it happened?" stories which are often very interesting to hear.
I was told by my family members that I was taken up somewhere to fill paper dust masks with ash I don't know where since ash was reported to have fallen hundreds of miles away.
Anyways it was evident that it would become an important peice of local history...I think that ash is still in a jar at my grandparent's house.

If you walk to the top of my street on a clear day you can look across the river and see Mt St Helens plain as day.
