As you are asking! It may well be the dreaded camera angle problem , but I think not. Your kilt could do with being raised so that at least the centre of the kneecap is showing and better still the whole of the knee is showing------the bottom of the kilt just skimming the top knee cap is perfect. The top of the kilt may then feel a bit high, that's fine and you will get used to it.
Then we might get to see the top of your hose! Which gives the impression, rightly or wrongly, of being a tad too high.
