Hey all,

Heading out tomorrow for a couple weeks aboard a ship over in the West Pacific. Probably won't see much of Japan except from the airport to the base with the schedule they have planned. We might have a day or two at the end but that will be on Okinawa. Only thing that I am looking forward to is a couple bottles of awamori. One is for me to try and one for a friend I have a bottle trading game with.

Don't know much about Okinawa except what my Marine brother-in-law ha said (beeen there 6 times) and that isn't good. Also what little I've read. From what the sources say it is culturally very different from the main island has it wasn't originally a Japanese island but conquered one.

So you won't probably see much of me around.
