Newly Kilted
Hello all, short-term lurker, first time poster. What a great site! I just received my first kilt from buyakilt.com A Douglas tartan with simple celtic design leather sporran. First of all, would any of you consider this an alright look for a hot casual summer day and for a beginning outfit to one whom is making do with they have? Ha. Second, I've got some questions, if you all would be so inclined.
First off, any other customers from buyakilt? So far the quality seems good to me, though I haven't got much to go on. I fear it is a bit too long as I have to wear it fairly high rise to get it fall just above the knee. It is sitting at the (what I've heard to be traditional) waist between my hip and bottom rib. I'm trying to get it adjusted comfortably, but it seems it is either a bit too tight when sitting, but will keep itself up on my body, or a bit too loose and fall slightly, covering the knee a bit. Also, and it may just be me, but I swear the thing is slightly crooked as I can detect the slight upward lean on the right knee and it drives me mad. It may just be my perfectionism setting in with something new, however. Heh.
Still trying to iron out the wrinkles, literally and metorphorically, so any help and advice would be much appreciated. So far I love it, if I can just get it tuned correctly.
Cheers from Southern California! ![Very Happy](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
