To all those whom responded, thanks very much for your input. Specifically Mr. Thorpe, I've read this sentiment on this board many times from trusted members (such as yourself). The pitfalls of Geneological research being what it is re: Scottish culture / history, I must focus my moneys where the largest family matronage dictates. Some of our peripheral families, although held in high esteem, may appear marginalized on occassion. However, I feel the same as you: Yes, I can wear what I want. But, recent convention suggests a familial connection. Therefore, if I can establish a credible connection and exercise a modicum of respect, then perhaps I should do so.Thanks again, to each of you. I will be ordering from Matthew A.C. Newsome soon.
