Tips and pointers for a new kilt wearer.

First things first.. my apologies to the moderator team if this is in the wrong section. If it is, please feel free to move it to some place more appropriate.

Hello fellow Kilt-wearers! After many years of wanting one and many months of waiting, my first kilt was finally completed a few days ago. It was made by a local Scottish national who has been making them for over 40 years now and I believe that this will be the last one she’ll be making.

The lighting and just the picture in general doesn’t do it justice, but it looks great (ignore the loose belt ) and I’m quite proud to finally have one. So I naturally want to keep it as safe as I possibly can. I think I have the basics down for storage and keeping it safe (cedar and garment bags), but I’d appreciate any and all advice that anyone has to offer to a newbie kilt wearer.

edit: I just thought of two specific things that I'm sure most of you may be able to help me with..
-Garment bag: Does it have to breathe?
-Hanging: Is there a "correct" way to hang your kilt?
