So I have gone in and tried on an Argyle jacket and had to absord the situation.
Firstly, the jacket is quite a different fit from a regular suit jacket (the ones I am used to) and that threw me for a bit. It just seed too short, althought I know that that is how they are meant to fit.
Secondly, I did have to go up two sizes from my regular jacket size (no, I have not put on weight since I bought my last suit?) so that too threw me a curve ball.
All this mixed with the fact that I had a rugby shirt and shorts on, so the whole set up felt silly to me. I will return with a kilt on and try again.
Or I will buy it, try it at home and return it if I so choose!
