It`s your outfit, and honestly it is a nice gesture to wear the hose that your Mother in Law gave you. I like what Panache had to say about it, but you don`t necessarily need to wear a white shirt if you don`t want to. Perhaps you should try a few outfits before the day and see what you think works best. You could also post some photos here to get opinions.
