hi bravehearts,
even i ve been welcomed warmly i just find this thread and want to say hello again to everybody.

i m from vienna in austria/europe, you know were mozart, beethoven.... lived.

i m 24 year old political science student and wear my kilts everyday since last summer. except our cold windy winters, where i ve to find a solution for coming winter.
vienna is nice city but we still don´t have much bravehartes here. to make you laugh about us freaky austrians i can reclaim that in one of our 9 countries from austria, in carintia a tailor started to provide the "carintian kilt".

the thing started when a piece of tartan was found in carintia, dated from just over 5000 years. so earlier than any kilt found before, and there were in fact celts in austria during roman imperium. however thats the marketing history and saying that men have worn in the past no trousers , as traditional wear should then be no more seen the leather "knickerbocker" short but the kilt
at least we had also the presenter of "want to be a millionaire" in one of those kilts on tv.

a kilt start from austria, this tailor as i know had only sold a few hundred kilts yet. but now look at those ugly sporrans
