Just a note from a long-ago and limited experience: corduroy seems very amenable to being dyed and takes the color quickly. If you're going for a subtle or light color, watch your dye mix ratios and/or the soaking time with an eye to possibly reducing the recommendations. (Mix it thinner or pull the piece early.) It's quite possible to aim at a "tea" color and end up with "dark chocolate" instead.
