The thread count on the MacGregor of Cardney makes the sett larger than the other MacGregor tartans. When I first looked at the photos, the colors stood out, then looking at the smaller thread count, suggested to me it wasn't the Cardney.
I agree with you, it is very close (if not the exact tartan) to the MacGregor red & green.
