A photos of an Aussie sunset-- you'll note the Eucalyptus tree silhouetted in the photo. The difference in trees was something that I had trouble adjusting to when I first arrived here. They didn't "look right", but it was a subliminal thing. The oddness just grated mentally, but I couldn't consciously work out what was "wrong". Interestingly, in some of the local art museums that have displays of early colonial Australian art, the newly arrived European artists had a great deal of trouble with the shape and colour of the Australian trees -- the appearance gradually improves until they start getting it right.

This one is at Lake Eildon, about two hours north of Melbourne.
I did say photos -- just couldn't find this one -- as disks get bigger it becomes more of a PITB to find anything
