I was curious what to wear with a casual style kilt. I have my fancy uber heavy kilt I bought in Scotland, but being a portly fellow (ok, I'm fat!) I'd just as soon not sweat to death. is I am buying a couple casual kilts-one in my tartan, and one in the US Navy tartan. I wear boots and a t-shirt with my utility kilt, but what is recommended for the casual, lighter kilts?

In researching, I found a closed thread regarding the USNavy tartan. I saw that the conversation revolved around submariners, radarmen, CTs and seabees about what style of tartan to wear. I fall into none of those categories, as I was a Navy musician (specifically French horn). What would be the best navy tartan to get?
