I've been a big fan of Barleyjuice for years now and have most of their CD's. Otherwise I'm going to have to go with Dropkick Murphy's, Gael Force (which is now Finn's Fury), and Albannach. Great Big Sea and Gaelic Storm are great bands but tend more towards pop than hard rock. As of late of have been listening to a band called Scythian. I've seen them before in concert in Milwaukee but I finally got to sit and enjoy them for the first time at Oshkosh. Acutually, I didn't sit too long. They are a great high energy, highly talented combination of Gypsy and Celtic music and you won't be sitting in your seat long if you see them. They and Gaelic Storm will both be releasing new CD's at Milwaukee Irish fest this year. I already have Scythian's and it is a great CD so pick it up if you get a chance. Here's a sample of their music.
