I guess I'm one of the unusual guys for two reasons.
First is that I am a kiltmaker and own a kilt shop. I feel my customers expect, want and deserve to see those in the shop wearing their own product.
And secondly I live in a very kilt friendly town. It is not uncommon to see at least one other kilt about town on any given day.
I wear the kilt everyday. Yes, it is my job but I would do so anyway. It has become a very big part of who I am. I do, and have worn a kilt to every one of the examples given in the first post.
In fact I guess I'm sort of strange in that when I get home from work I change into pants to relax. Usually sweat pants.
There are some who have never seen me not in a kilt, and some would not recognize me at first without the kilt.
If I'm away from Victoria I may get the "Why the kilt?", "Are you a piper?", & "Are you going to some event?" questions, but in town I am just another guy in a kilt.
