Kilted at Mardi Gras Open House

Ok, this was my inaugural outing for kilt #2 - a USAKilts casual kilt in "Warrior" tartan that I was able to acquire used at a ridiculous price on eBay (Sorry, Rocky - budget willing I WILL buy a new one from you one day soon!). I still consider myself a "newbie" to this, so all constructive criticisms appreciated!

The event was the Open House hosted by my wife's Carnival association this past Saturday afternoon. As usual for me, I was the only person kilted - got several compliments, a few good natured jibes, and this time more than a couple questions as to my "intimate attire"! I was armed and ready to go with a response learn't here - What do you wear under your kilt?
    Socks and shoes!

I was going for a VERY Casual look, so I left the sweater out. But I wasn't sure what to do with the belt. I wore it under the sweater, but as you can see, in some of the pictures I look almost pregnant with my belly exaggerated by the belt buckle - so I'm thinking I'll ditch the belt if I wear the sweater out again. (The "bling" is standard Mardi Gras attire, BTW)

As always, I remain in the debt of the many helpful and supportive posters on this board. Without your encouragement, I'd have never had the confidence to start wearing a kilt - and now that I've started I don't plan to stop!!!!!

Humble and Sincere Thanks to you all.
