Hi all I have a sgian dubh question.I own 3 sgian dubhs 1is a cheap plastic handle casual one. I have 2 dress ones one I have sharpened the other was a gift from my staff when I moved and it is lovely but rounded and blunt. My question is I am thinking of getting a good one that will take a keen edge. So regular steel or Damascus blade? Also should I get a wood handle or antler? I would like it to be useable for either day or night wear so no jewels but maybe silver bands and cap. Opinions on style and type for the most flexible use are appreciated.
