The Moy Hall Plaid - A good day's research
After some 30 years of trying to reconstruct the sett of the so called Moy Hall Plaid from various snippets and references, today I managed to get to see the largest surviving fragment, which is still at Moy Hall. It confirmed my view that earlier reconstructions by the likes of Jamie Scarlett were flawed. Now I will be able to complete my paper discussing the various fragments, several of which are later copies, of this Culloden era tartan that has a good claim to have been used by Prince Charles Edward.
