Some Cameron Questions
Seeking help from any Camerons out there, or anyone else that might know. Here is a (rather poor) picture I took recently at the Clan Cameron Museum.

It is a modern piece of tartan on a manikin. I cannot find any reference to this setting in the STA's Db (the dark colour looks to be navy blue rather than black) and am trying to find out the background. Unfortunately the lady at the front desk was rather dismissive, bordering on rude when I enquired .
One of the pieces I was trying to track down whilst there was the Plaid found in a cave at Achnacarry, details of which appeared in the c1950 research records of a Ross-Craven. Many of his records are erroneous and I suspect this one might be too, hence the need to find the original specimen. The (unhelpful) lady at the Museum wasn't in the mood to assist and simply pointed me to the modern samples on the wall of the various commonly seen Cameron tartans and told me that tartans were all Victorian anyway. A bit of re-education required me thinks.
Grateful if anyone can throw any light on the attached or the so-called Plaid found at Achnacarry.
