MacGregor and Cameron of Erracht Tartans, do I wear?

I'm relatively new to tartan kilts. I've been wearing a Khaki 5.11 Tactical Kilt for awhile now, however during a re-enactment event recently I spotted a MacGregor red and green Kilt, near perfect fit, 100% wool, 8 yard heavyweight for £40... naturally i bought it and I love it, although I have not worn it out yet. same with my vintage ex-millitary Cameron of Erracht kilt, once again perfect fit. But do I and should I wear them out as I'm English with no Scottish in me and one of them is a clan tartan and the other a regimental one?

I like both tartans and would love to wear them, but I thought I'd get the opinions of the fine kilt wearers of X Marks
