The Scottish Wildcat on BBC News today.
For those that may be interested, there was quite a long piece on the Scottish Wildcat on the BBC TV News today. I think that I heard correctly when the reporter said that the Scottish Wildcat is ten times more rare than the Bengal tiger. Perhaps some cleaver person could provide a link?
I actually saw one the other night! I was on a very brief visit north taking my grandchildren for a couple of days fishing and when passing Loch Laggan at about midnight there was a Scottish wildcat sat on a post! We managed to do a quick about turn(no traffic at that time of night) and all the grandchildren saw the wildcat from a range of 20 yards. The wonderful beast posed for us, quite unperturbed, for a couple of minutes before we left it to get on with life still sat on the post. We were very privileged to see it.
