Hello fellow Davidson Clansmen!



As you know, my husband and I have been asked to host the Clan Davidson AGM this year. The AGM will be held during the Southern Maryland Celtic Festival at Jefferson Patterson Park in St. Leonard, Maryland on 30 April 2016. As part of this event, we have planned a couple of special things.



Social Gathering : Friday 29 April 2016 at 5 PM:



As a way of showing appreciation to our members and all the hard work they do, the Friday before the festival, my husband Jim and I will be hosting an informal social gathering at the Ruddy Duck Brewery and Grill in Dowell, Maryland. Directions to the Ruddy Duck are attached. We will pick up the cost of the appetizers and the first round (soda, wine or beer….no $42.00 a glass whiskeys please). All drinks after the first round will be each individuals’ responsibility. I have a private room for up to 30 people (comfortably seated) or 40 (if we don’t mind real togetherness). I have to order the appetizers in advance, so I would appreciate it if you could RSVP for the social hour (check mark for RSVP is included on the Dinner RSVP attached). This will help me determine how much food to order. This is an informal gathering, you can either wear your highland attire or dress casual…it’s completely up to you. I understand the food is quite good at the Ruddy Duck, so you might want to consider staying afterwards for your dinner.



Luncheon at Festival: Saturday 30 April 2016 at TBD



After the opening ceremonies (which is usually around 11 or 11:30 – Scottish time…you know how that goes), lunch will be provided at the Clan Davidson tent. There is no cost for the lunch.



Clan Dinner: Saturday 30 June 2016 at 7 PM:



There will be a Clan Davidson dinner at The Stoney’s Kingfishers Seafood Restaurant, located in South Solomons, Maryland. Directions to Stoney’s are also attached. We have a selection of four plated menu items (each priced differently). I’m including the menu selection list as a separate enclosure to this email. Please note, I have not included a vegetarian dish in the selection; however, if you are a vegetarian and don’t like seafood, please let me know and I’ll see if we can work separate arrangements with the Manager.

Kingfishers requires a final head count and final menu selection for each individual no later than Saturday, 2 April.

Since we already have around 30 people who have signed up for the dinner, we will not have the option of ordering something off the regular menu. Bottomless soda, tea and coffee will be included with your meal and I will be providing both a chocolate and vanilla cake for desert. Alcohol is not included.

There will be a cash bar, so individuals will be responsible for their own alcohol. Please complete the menu selection and RSVP attached to this email and return it to me so that it reaches me no later than Friday 1 April. Please include payment for your dinner with your RSVP.
