Highland Revivial Knitted Trews
A day of research turned up a number of interesting items including these knitted trews. Said to have been made for the 1822 Levee, I have never seen anything like them. They are quite unlike other surviving trews of the time which are all made from cloth in the traditonal manner. It's possible that these are slightly later and were perhaps made for the 1839 Eglinton Tournament.
