When we were discussing our marriage vows with her pastor, my fiance opted for the traditional vows with the "obey" in it. I said that that was ridiculous and that I would be the one to get grief over such archaic words. She insisted because she likes traditional things; but I said, "Well, if you want to obey me, we will remove "obey" from the vows! THERE, that settles it!" She just scoffed, and said the word "obey" will remain in the vows. My marriage remains a giant jigsaw puzzle with a piece or two always hidden by my wife.
