Happy to hear you found the pin...I have a special kilt pin also and I would be EXTREMELY unhappy if I lost it!
Now, as far as the Tex-Mex or Cajun haggis...why not! Part of my family (also the Scottish link there) comes from DEEP East Texas and cajun cooking is mixed in there also. When I described haggis to a friend (Hispanic) his eyes got wide and his comment was "Sounds good!".
In retrospect the day was as I said uneventful in a 'normal' way, but to spend it in reflection of who I am now and celebration of my family heritage was far more important. Having a good supper with my wife and celebrating with the friends and brothers here on XMarks from across the world did in many ways made my St. Andrew's Day truly eventful day. Life is truly good!
