Hi, sorry, no pix, but it is Friday and I was out cross country skiing in my Ireland's National tartan basic kilt from USA kilts. I wore the same one later to mindfulness meditation group. With green hose and blue flashes. Wearing it skiing was a celebration of the end of another great ski season. To see what the skiing is like here, check out this promo video - all three folks in it are friends https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HdIWRMjFLk
This kilt is acrylic, I have another in wool. Wool skis much better because it hangs better, doesn't stick to itself. Now there's a bit of knowledge nobody needs but me and one other guy in my locale - we will ski in a kilt on Robbie Burns Day.
Where I live there are lots of retirees like myself, and I get a lot of approval, only occasionally 'the question'. I did meet some new people, but they had started drinking before 3PM and I don't think they even noticed I was kilted. Jeesh. Mind you that was before I went to meditation, when I went out for a late lunch, still being hungry from the ski.
