I too like the vest. With it on, you need not wear the dirk belt with that huge buckle. Gives a cleaner look without it.

FB, thank you re the vest and thoughts on the belt. It was early in my kilt wearing experience. I’ve been experimenting with belt and beltless. I have a nice brown Sporran and Belt with a regular buckle that usually goes with the vest now. Perhpas still a bit of overkill, but fore some unknown reason I feel a bit incomplete without a belt. It’s pretty much hisden here so could easily do without it.....
