Wisconsin Highland Games, August 30 - September 1 in Waukesha

Is anyone planning to be at the Wisconsin Highland Games over Labor Day Weekend?

We will once more be there as a sponsoring organization, so you'll find me and others throughout the weekend in the Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem (SMOTJ) booth in the Clan Tent area. Just look for the swords lining the booth (hopefully it'll be less rainy this year so we can display them better) and the Templar armor on the display table.

Members of our local Priory of St. John the Baptist have been deeply embedded in the Milwaukee St. Andrew Society, the Scottish-American Military Society, the Tripoli Scottish Highlanders, local pipe band competitions, even the local bagpipe rock band WarPiper. In fact, Past Prior Robert McWilliam was instrumental in the design of the Wisconsin state tartan.

We've found the highland games to be a good recruiting venue for new members who find our mission to help Christians at risk in the Holy Land inspiring. But as one member reminded us last week, the games are just fun to attend with your family!

Hope to see some fellow XMarkers there.
