Hi Serial Kilters

When you decide to get a kilt pleated to the strip, would it be possible to get it pleated alternating between two or more stripes? Would the stripes on a particular tartan have to be equally spaced like in the case of MacEwan where the stripes/pivot points alternate on the green section only, or would it also work with a tartan like Mackenzie where there is more then one strip on more one section of the tartan?
