If you haven't one already, might I recommend a tie bar? Seeing that your tie has gone askew in pictures post-event is a bit embarrassing.

I had one on, and on top of that, unseen beneath my waistcoat, the tie was tucked into the top of my kilt. However, being me, I could probably superglue it down and still have it go askew.
