Except that I have got (in theory, that's what the guy who sold me the kilt 2ndhand told me) is a Stillwater kilt hanger, and it's no different from the 6-8 inch long pants hangers I have in my closet. Hm. Mebbe Jerry upgraded in the interim and the new ones are better.

Here's the thing. My waist is 40 inches so the wasitband length of these kilts is about 60 inches.. Folding the kilt in thirds means that the folded-over length is about 20 inches. Using a kilt hanger like what you put in that link...12 inches, still leaves the end unsupported......and the pleats go *sag*. It's a lot better than what I've got now, though.

I might have to take apart an old fashioned pair of pants hangers and make my own kilt hangers from 1-by wood stock, and 20-inch long wood parts to hold them up properly..
