The Power of the Kilt II
I wore my UK out to an event in Nanaimo (Vancouver Island) a couple of weeks ago. I spent most of the afternoon in the beer garden and got the usual thumbs up and compliments from the ladies... even got a "Is that a Carhart kilt?".
For some reason, the gardens closed down at 6pm  and as I was waiting to cross the street back to my motel, I felt a brief breeze and tug; I turned back to see a 25ish woman say to her friend "nope, not even a thong".
Later, after my motel roommate got into town, we went to a club (he's a pro bouncer, so he's seen lots of club action). He didn't know me, or that I wore a kilt, and was totally blown away by all the girls (and women) that walked up to talk to me. (...If I wasn't married... ) I don't think he'd actually wear one, but he was impressed.
I was in town on my way to a college field class on a tiny island off the coast of Vancouver. As soon as the class starts sharing our pictures, I'll post a picture of me at the camp in my UK.
