Am I wearing this right?

First of all, welcome!! Lookin' good! :-P

Looks good to me however because you asked if you are wearing it "RIGHT" I will switch to Kilt Police mode. . .

In the first photo you appear to be not wearing the belt, fixed in the later pics, the rule is if you wear a jacket, you don't need the belt. . .

It is my understanding that the convention with the jacket is more along the line of whether or not you're wearing a waistcoat (vest) with your jacket: if you're wearing a Prince Charlie and waistcoat or Argyle with a waistcoat, the belt buckle generally makes the points of the waistcoat stick forward, so the belt is not worn.

On the other hand, if you're wearing an Argyle type jacket without a waistcoat, the belt is generally worn.

My personal opinion about the ghillie brogues is that to me, they look like a fairly dressy, formal shoe, so I tend not to wear them unless I'm at least wearing a jacket and tie (semi-formal or more formal). Otherwise, I'll wear plain shoes or boots.

Sporran chain -- don't know how much you've delved into the riches of this forum -- and there are a LOT of very knowledgeable folks that hang out here -- the silver chain you have is very appropriate for the full-dress sporran you have, but as you consider more casual sporrans for day wear with your other (future) kilts (the only known remedy to the kilt addiction is to feed it with more kilts! ) you will probably want to request a leather sporran strap, as it causes less friction and wear on the kilt than the metal chain.

On an entirely different topic, my thanks to you for your willingness to serve your country! (Also, to others here who serve or have served.) My son is just finishing up his four-year tour with the USMC in about one month. Still trying to get him into a kilt.
