Archangel and yoippari,

Thanks for great advice! We don't have casual Fridays (just business casual all the time), but I had forgotten that we actually have the end of our United Way campaign this Friday and it will actually be a casual Friday! I think that will be a perfect time to come in for the first time in a kilt. I had worried on this, or maybe another, thread that it might send a message that the kilt is a casual article of clothing, but I don't think that anybody seeing me in the SW Nightstalker, white oxford shirt, black hose, dress shoes, and sporran will think that I am being casual. I am boing to send anote to HR, but I am not going to worry about the response for Friday's test.

Yoippari has actually encouraged me even more. He is tackling the kilt wearing as a new employee! While I have only been here for 4 months, I have a proven track record and have been out after hours with some of my peers.

Now, assuming that everything goes well, I will have a strong incentive to buy more kilts (not that I really need to have an incentive!)! I currently only have the SW and a SK. The gun metal gray SK might do for the infrequent casual days, but I regard it as a piece of sports clothing, and with the yellow SK badge, it looks a little casual. I had thought about removing the badge, which would dress it up a bit and then I might consider wearing it as one would a pair of khakis.

Thanks for all the advice and support.
