I agree that kilts should be nothing more than a clothing option. It is just that, with me, instead of making the choice every morning for the remainder of my life, I did it once-and-for-all .......... 6½ years ago! ;)
By the way, Alan, I did not "burn" my trousers. We are not permitted to have bonfires here for risk of environmental pollution! That's not to say that MY trousers would have been a greater risk than the next man's - any bonfire causes that pollution, whether it's a trousered bonfire or not!!!
