That is about how I see it, I think brown boots with a black belt will look goofy. I am not certain about a black sporran and brown boots without a belt. I guess it would depend on the kilt and shirt.
I have tried off-white socks pulled up with black boots, and it did not seem right to me. It doesn't look bad at all with socks down, but there is a problem with warmth here in Nebraska. Black socks seemed okay.
I am thinking of options for my SWK black watch and the Irish-American I have ordered.
