Kilted birthday
Yesterday was my birthday and I had a great time. As many of you already know, my fiance isn't too keen on me wearing a kilt. Being my birthday, I elected to wear my kilt, and being my birthday she agreed to not make an issue of it. Well, I think she might, though she'll never admit it, realize that wearing a kilt is no big deal.
Everywhere we went either nobody noticed I was wearing a kilt, or nobody cared. All of our friends complimented the look and it looks like I might have one or two converting.
I even passed what I think might have been a little test she set up. After having brunch with friends, she suggested we stop at a busy, crowded mall so she could pick up some cosmetics. Of course I agreed, and of course there were no issues. After that it was smooth sailing. Dinner at a popula BBQ joint (RedBones), and drinks at two different pubs (The Burren, and Matt Murphys). By the end of the night I think she might have even forgotten I was wearing a kilt.
Anyway, it was a success and it was fun.
