The concert was AWESOME! Better than the downward spiral tour, I was there as well.
unfortunatly, due to the extremely.....hmmm...volotile environment, there were very little opportinuties for pics of anything less than 6ft off the ground, so pics of the UK Survival I had on were not possible at the show.
Otherwise it was great. Was about 10 ft from center stage.
I do have these points of advice for anyone going to a concert where there is a very active general admission section without chairs in front of the stage.
1. DO NOT GO REGIMENTAL. Almost immediatly after joining the crowd in front of the stage, several unauthorized ( and most unwanted ) kilts checks occured before I was able to keep things under control. Luckily I wasn't regimental.
2. Do not wear a traditional kilt. It will be destroyed. My UK survival stood up to the test...barely.
3. DO try to crowd surf ( provided you are not regimental ). Just make sure you have a good, strong crowd to surf on, otherwise you will wind up on your face on the floor. I managed to ride the crowd for a grand total of 5 seconds, before they were no longer able to support my weight ( something like 230lbs). It was definitly good fun. Do not attempt regimental at any cost.
