Just back from a weekend at Monument Valley. Haven't been in 20 years though I drive past it a lot. Good weather, but lots of blowing sand and high winds. Took my brown leather Utilikilt thinking it would hold up to the sand best. And it did. Sat on it a lot. Its about 130 miles over and back. We took the self-guided Monument Valley tour (17 miles of kidney jostling) and a four hour jeep (actually pick up truck) tour of Mystery Valley. Incredible beauty, incredible history.

The wind was blowing so fast, particualarly through the arches and canyons that many times my UK brown leather kilt "Marilyn Monroed" on me. Did have on an underkilt so it didn't freak the Navajo tour guide out. Much thanks to Willy Blackwater of Blackwater Tours for a great trip back into the recesses of Mystery Valley.

If the pics don't come up for you they're in my gallery in the UK leather sub-album.
