...for a while, anyway.

So, continuing on the employment theme for the night...

It's a good thing that I have on order and am awaiting delivery of:

UK Tan Mocker
FK Navy Casual
SWK Black Stewart

Because I'm going to have to curtail the kilt addiction for a bit in order to replenish my supply of suits and other office drag.

Today I gave notice to my present business-casual employer that I have accepted a position with a different suit-and-tie employer, though I didn't put it in exactly those terms. Now, I always keep a killer interview suit in the closet - you just never know - and it served me well - and I have a couple of other ones for this occasion or that. Unfortunately, while I was neglecting these occasional suits, the moths were not. At my new job, suits are de rigueur, and I'm a bit of a clothehorse. I can't settle for just a couple kilts, and I won't be happy with just one fabulous black pinstripe suit.

Sooooo... my checkbook has to be redirected - right after I buy several sets of kilt hose and sporran. Yeah - that'll do...

Anyway - my new position is as a full time trainer in project management methodology for a large local bank. I'm thrilled about the new job, and I'm still pinching myself that this is happening. It's worth a bit more compensation than I'm presently getting, and I expect that it will be immensely fulfilling. I've never walked away from a job before, though I've been downsized once; this is only my third since graduating college.

Wish me luck. Really, now that I've landed the job, I'm nervous as all get-out.
