What do you mean by "throwing in"? Highland games?
It's personal prefference and personal finance. If you can swing a $350 kilt to be your "knock around" kilt, then I say go for it! If you want to save it to be your "good kilt", then get that one for your good kilt and a Casual to get muddy (remember, it's machine washable and Teflon coated!).
