Back From The Mountain
Just back from a weekend on Mt. Mingus above Jerome, Arizona. Been meeting with friends there every year for the past 15 years just to reconnect, recharge, and renew.
The theme this year was "F.R.O.G." for "Fully Rely on God" and folks were requested to wear green garments. So I took my USAKilt casual MacLean Hunting for knocking around the woods, my Macdonald Lord of the Isles Hunting from Kathy's Kilts for the big dance, and my USA Kilt Ireland's National semi-traditional for wearing around camp.
The altitude of the camp is 7,700 feet so dancing was a challenge for this olde bird. It was HOT already this weekend so the kilt hose didn't last long. And I brought sporrans, but stuck with vests as more convenient for carrying my "stuff."

Had all positive comments at the stops on the way down and back and while on the mountain. Think I was the most comfortable guy by a long shot. Pants seem so restrictive when hiking or dancing.
If the pics don't come up for you they're in my gallery under the type of kilt.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."
