What on earth would give you that impression.? I've been to several funerals - most recently just a few weeks ago - and wore a kilt, argyle jacket, dark shirt and tie, matching flashes, black broghes and sporran. The family thanked me for showing such respect that I would do that. In such circumstances, I wear my kilt as seriously as any suit. A funeral is no joke and neither is the kilt.
