10 years ago today my 5-year-old son watched the 4th of July parade in Montreat, NC. When the Montreat Pipe Band passed he turned to me and said "Daddy, I want to learn to play the bagpipes and be in that band."

Today, he marched for the first time with the Montreat Pipe Band. He was grinning from ear to ear the entire time. I was nearly as excited as he was...so much so that most of the pictures I took were hopelessly blurred. (to be brutally honest, I couldn't see very well through all those tears)
