Philosophy RE-affirmed
Was out making some repairs on my roof yesterday in my PK MarPat. Temps were in the high 80's and high humidity. I was very comfortable once I stripped off my cotton T-Shirt and just let the sweat go. While working, I got drenched with a rain shower and the incredibly light PK abosrbed so much water it became as heavy as my UK Survival was when it was dry. I spread tarps over my project and got tools out of the rain before deciding to go inside and wait out the rain. I put on a pair of baggy basketball shorts to let the PK drip dry in the shower.
A bit later the rain stopped and I climbed back up on the roof still wearing the shorts. Right from the get-go the shorts were clinging due to sweat, slipping down when bending over, binding up everywhere ... It just went on and on. I was miserable dealing with these shorts.
I finally got fed up with being so uncomfortable, I climbed down and retrieved my still wet PK, strapped it on, kicked off the shorts and went back to work. I was much more comfortable in a wet kilt than in baggy shorts. No clinging, no binding and no plumbers crack.
Amen.
Can I get a witness brothers?
