I had been looking for a new sewing machine to replace the S.O.'s elderly Singer Fashion Mate. I work for a local school district (maintenance). A site's staff were emptying out a storage building slated for demolition. Amongst the detrius in the room was a Rex 26-188 Industrial Sewing Machine. They said to take it or they will dump it. They didn't have to twist my arm!

I had to shorten the belt a little and lube up the machine a little, but it works. It may need a tuneup (it makes a light knocking noise when it runs) but the price is right-$0.00!!

It also has a true walking foot-just what I wanted for the camo kilt in progress. No more uneven stitching!
